Nate can draw!

I'm sure I've talked about how skilled Nate is at artwork. He can draw far better than I can, no doubt.

Evidence is here:

Can't believe it's been nearly a year since I last updated this blog.

Nate's produced more artistic and otherwise creative creations!

An elaborate train track he put together a few weeks ago with Maren:

And More Legos!
Grandma and PaPa got Nate a really neat Lego set - Lego Racers - Ring of Fire:

Finally, we have a couple of videos of Nate. The first clip shows Nate and Maren performing a song Nate made up:

Nate and Maren singing and dancing
(Added above video Jan 2, 4:44pm EST, and haven't yet tested from a Windows PC. If the video doesn't work, please send email to steve@jacobshome.org, thanks.)

Have just uploaded the second video. This one is about 22Mb, and shows Nate demonstrating the new Lego Racer pictured above. THE VIDEO - encoded with h263.

THE VIDEO - encoded with h264. (About 60Mb)

( I've found that on two different Windows XP machines, Windows Media Player could not display the video from either of the above downloads due to missing codecs. You can download and install the 'ffdshow' package, found here, to get the necessary codecs on to your system. )

Nate's newest artistic productions.

During Chanukah Nate received some new Legos:

AND, a Ferarri:

Today, January 13, was Nate's 7th Birthday! He had a SuperHero party at the Montclair Art Museum, in Montclair, NJ. Since last Fall the MAM has hosted an exhibit covering Superheros and their influence on (& reflection of) American culture. Today just happened to be the last day of the exhibit, and Nate held his party there just in time! A very nice Museum representative, Melissa, took Nate and several of his friends on a tour of the museum, discussing various comic book covers and displays with the group. Once the walking tour concluded, the kids got to sit down with some supplies and produce their own comic book covers. At the end of the party, those covers were affixed to blank books, so the kids can finish their very own self-made comic book. Nate's cover is shown here:

New Lego creation

This week, using his Legos, Nate created a very neat vehicle for Batman, Robin, and Alfred. Earlier today we took photos of the craft for display here:
